Metal
Scientifically speaking, metal is a chemical element. It occurs naturally as a hard raw material found in the earth’s crust. Metals can be broadly categorised into those containing iron (ferrous metals) and those without iron (non-ferrous metals).
We use stainless steel (a ferrous metal) for menu holders and produce, amongst other things, menu-covers made from aluminium composite. Aluminium is a non-ferrous metal, but a composite is always a composite material. When uncoated, aluminium composite does have the appearance of (silver-coloured) metal, which is why we use the term ‘metal’ in our product names.
