Mass-produced goods are, as the name suggests, intended for the masses. They are often soulless products brought to market primarily to generate quick turnover. It is not uncommon for their quality to be extremely disappointing. At least, that is our view.

We do not focus on the masses. We enjoy creating personalised products in smaller batches, which we call bespoke work. With mass production, every product is identical and there is no room for your individual preferences. If you run a restaurant and use a physical menu-cover, you might well find the exact same menu-cover further down the street if you opt for a mass-produced item. However, we hope your menu also tells a story. It sets the tone, and if you’re telling a standardised story, that doesn’t match who you actually are. Right?

In some cases, we understand why people opt for mass-produced items. Affordability, availability, delivery times – you name it. But think carefully in advance about the purpose of your purchase. Bespoke items have a reputation for being expensive, but do the maths and factor sustainability into your considerations too.
